Quill Engage: A Year in Review

January 30, 2015 Mickey Rausch

January is a time for reflection and evaluation. A time to look back at your work and a time to plan ahead. What was successful? What didn’t work so well? What could we have done better? Where are the new opportunities?

On March 18th, 2014, we launched Quill Engage, a completely free application that analyzes your Google Analytics data and creates easy-to-understand reports, written in plain English, which are automatically generated on a weekly and monthly basis. Since launching, thousands of organizations and individuals have signed up, and they are saving hours of valuable time. There are currently over 10,000 active users of Quill Engage!

User experiences are critical in shaping a product’s roadmap, and Quill Engage users have been extremely enthusiastic in describing how the application has contributed to their productivity.

Here is what some of our users have said about Quill Engage:

“Life changing” – Michael J. Kovis, TK241 Digital

“Anything that could alleviate having to go in and mess with GA is great. So when I first saw Quill Engage I was blown away. I immediately knew the tool would save us tons of time.” – Solana Larsen, Global Voices

“Quill Engage puts a bevy of information into polished, readable language.” – Jackie Moreau, watchdogwire.com

“It’s like a human actually went into Google Analytics and wrote a performance report. It doesn’t sound like it’s automated. It’s so human-like and it doesn’t sound template-generated.” – Zack Hanebrink, BoomTown ROI

“Quill Engage offers an exciting glimpse into the future of Google Analytics Analysis and reporting.” – Alex Bruner, 435 Digital

In addition, we’ve been recognized by the leading digital marketing top tools lists! Check out what some of the biggest industry influencers are saying about Quill Engage:

Social Media Examiner

What makes Quill Engage stand out is that it uses an artificial intelligence engine to process the information and deliver it to you as if somebody wrote a report explaining all of the important information.” – Ian Cleary (@IanCleary)

“Here is a shortcut that streamlines both report delivery and analysis. Quill Engage is a FREE tool that turns your Google Analytics data into paragraphs of text, sent to your inbox weekly.” – Andy Crestodina (@crestodina)

Digital Marketer

“Quill Engage is a fairly new, free service that takes data gathered from your Google Analytics account and translates it into an easy-to-understand report. So all those numbers and graphs? Practically gone! With Quill Engage you’ll get a weekly (or monthly if you want) email written in plain English.” – Chris Mercer (@tweetsfromssm)

Throughout the past year, we’ve received helpful feedback from our users regarding what else they would like to see in future releases of the product, ranging from requests to add more categories of Google Analytics data to features within the tool like report customization and export file options. We have already added the ability to download each of our reports as a fully editable Word doc file and are looking at adding new data sets to the tool this year.

We will be e-mailing a survey to each Quill Engage user in the next few weeks with some simple questions to obtain more feedback, but we also encourage you to reach out to us directly and tell us what YOU would like to see! You can do this by using the Feedback Tab within the Quill Engage interface or by emailing us at quillengage@narrativescience.com.

We are looking forward to an exciting 2015 in helping our customers gain more value out of their Google Analytics data, and we want you to be included in this process!

On a final note, Quill Engage has been added to the NEW Google Partner App Gallery. We invite you to rate your level of satisfaction and share comments for others to read.
